I own a 1994 Saturn SL1. The problem is that after 15-20
minutes of driving i get a jumping or stuttering problem.
This only lasts a few seconds then goes away. And also If
I drive without the fan blowing (heat or air) the service
engine light will eventually (appr 45mins later) come on.
As soon as I turn the air on it goes out. I've never had
a stalling problem or any other problem. The car has
108,000 miles, I got it 1-1/2 years ago at 88,000 miles, I
got a tune up at 95,000 miles, I have never replaced the
fuel filter. So, could you please contact me asap and
thank you for your time, jrprofessional_1983@yahoo

ok, I'm not sure if the spark plugs were replaced, i just thought when you get a tune-up they automatically replace them...i took it into advanced auto parts yesterday, and the only code that showed was a ERR-49 which means "Vaccum Leak", so i guess that i have to get the hoses checked, but not to sure of the problem still.

Hmmm. Vacuum leak. These seem to have consistent problems with the egr valve. That's where i'd start looking for the leak. Flex the hoses as you look.

Tune up is a real general word that now means "We will take your money and do very little" I shouldn't be so cynical. Different parts for maintenance are done at different intervals. Most of the tune ups that I qoute, we end up not doing, now I think I know why
