The ’94 Saturn SL engine starts and idles fine, but on the road, the engine will buck around 2500 RPMs when I add more throttle. The 5 speed manual will do something similar in any gear and it is only when the throttle is pushed. The mechanic said that no sensors are indicating problems from the codes. He suggested replacing the ignition coil unit due to possible corrosion, but I don’t see any obvious corrosion on the terminals. Could a knock sensor, oxygen sensor, or the ignition coil cause the bucking?
Thanks

Try cleaning the ignition coils first. Not only the terminals but the mouning bolts and the plate they mount to. Use electrical grease when reinstalling also. The mount is the ground and can cause all sorts of problems if corroded.

Good lck and let us know. :)
