electric window repair on 96 SW2

How did you repair it. Did the glass come out of the track?

Thanks for answering. Almost everything came apart. I took the outer door skin off. I had to put the window glass back in the bottom and side tracks. I had to reconnect the arm to the bottom track. What keeps happening now is the bottom track comes off the glass. There are two metal holders that slide over a white plastic "gripper" at the bottom. Those are what keep coming off.

I thought I had one in the garage but it must of went to scrap. If I remeber correctly the glass is installed in the track by some type of black adhesive. I doubt if silicone would do. Might try a parts house or a windsheild place. If they wont sell the stuff see if they will bond the glass to the track for you @ a reasonable price. If not I would use epoxy.

The window is held in the track by two white plastic clips that clip through holes in the glass. The grips on the metal track slide over the the white clips. The grips are what keep letting go. I remember some kind of black tape when I first repaired it but that was holding the clip on. It doesn't seem to be the problem. I could try some epoxy to hold the metal clip on to the clip.
