I bought a 1994 Saturn Twin Cam
engine: 1.9L L4 MPI
millage is about 120K

My car is blowing a bluish/white smoke and I need to put oil in every other day. I can't find any oil spots where I park the car. Also my car will shut off at random and has no rhyme or reason. I am a single mom with three teenage girls and I feel that I am taken advantage of by mechanics, because I do not know a lot about cars. My financial situation is tight and I want to be wise in car repairs any suggestion on what could be wrong?

https://www.2carpros.com/kpages/avoid_car_repair.htm Good reading.

Saturns are notorius for oil consumption. There is a factory service bulletin on cleaning the sticky rings using Gm top end cleaner. Depending on the condition of the engine this can work or have no effect. A compression test and or leak down test would be appropriate to determine the condition of the engine.

Sometimes a a non original equipment PCV valve can cause excessive oil consumption also.

Good luck and let us know. :)
