2002 Other Saturn Models Transmission Replacement

My husband has a 2002 Saturn SC2. The transmission broke and needs to be replaced. I was wondering if there was any other kind of transmission (for example for a 2002 Saturn L Series, etc) that would work for my husband's car. Thank you! :D

Try calling a local salvage yard. They have reference books on what will and wont interchange between models. If same engine size, I cant see why it wouldnt work, but call to be sure
