i was driving on the interstate slowing down and speeding up according to traffic flow, but overall around 70 mph. All of sudden, when I hit the gas, the car would jerk me back and forth as if I hit the brakes a couple times. Simultaneously, I looked at the odometer .. it went down... I looked at the rpm... it went up...as I was hitting the gas trying to speed up. The more I stepped on the gas, the slower the car went. I stopped for a few minutes and then it was fine.
An hour later, still on the interstate, all of a sudden it would do the same thing. When I kept the speed constant around 65 mph, the car tend not to be problematic. The moment I slow down and speed up, the whole problem starts.
At one point, I turned the AC off and put it on fan, the whole episode started again.
But when I got off the interstate into town, I didn't notice the problem. Only 1 time, it hesitated to speed up.
It is the first time I've had this problem and the car has religiously had its oil changes 3 - 4 times a year, tune ups 6 months ago, brake flush a year ago, and you name it.
I just had an oil change 3 days ago.
