Engine Cooling problem
2000 Other Saturn Models 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive

I have a 2000 saturn ls2 and it has 2 cooling fans on the radiator the one on the right will not stop running and has run down the battery in the car.

I have unplugged the wire leading to the fan on the right to keep the fan from running.

Is there a relay or some type of switch gone bad?
If so where would they be located on this car.

Yes, a faulty cooling fan relay will cause this issue. It is located in the underhood fuse block.

I just went out and checked the fuse and relay block in the 2000 Saturn Ls2 and there were only 4 relays
one for the horn, one for the A/C, one for the driving lights and the main v6 but there was'nt one for the radiator cooling fan any other ideas where it may be located also checked the inside 2 relay and fuse panels nothing there either.
kind of confusing!!!!!

Hmm looking at the wiring diagram the cooling fan module has the relays in it. The only other wires that come from the module that would have any effect for this symptom might be the fuses it leads to, pictured above

Thanks again Bluelightnin6 !!!
Maybe I'm looking at the wrong fuse box under the hood. You mentioned a fan module is that a differant box that maybe I'm not seeing.
Any idea what it may look like?

Yes, the cooling fan control unit is located right next to the battery, it isn't the fuse box it is an actual separate box for the cooling fans circuitry only.
