My coolant temp warning light and battery light came on, then my power steering went out, then temp gage shot from normal to hot in less than 30 seconds. I did not see steam. When I opened the hood though, my coolant had spewed out all over my battery and engine. My power steering fluid was low when I checked it, too. I added power steering fluid and coolant so that I could get the car to a repair shop, but the battery light is still on. All other warning lights are off. What do you think caused this problem and is it safe to drive the car to the repair shop? I have no other resources to ask and I am on an very tight budget. I really appreciate your help.

Sounds like a drive belt problem if you lost all of those things. Check the belt and tensioner to be sure they are good
