HI.i have a 1998 saturn sl2 and my question is.when i give the car a little gas it has a dead spot.would the tps be causing it? i put new plugs/wires/os sensor/motormounts.any help would be great.

it certainly could. to know for sure you would need to look at voltages on a scan tool and watch for it to drop out while accelerating.

the problem was.Symptom: Hesitates under part throttle, may feel like an engine misfire, ignition system and fuel delivery system test good.



System: Emissions/PCM/Fuel, Engine Ignition



Codes: Possible P0300, P0301, P0304



Problem: The #1 and #4 Spark Plug Wires are reversed which causes the injector timing to be off by 180 degrees.



Test & Fix: Verify the correct Spark Plug Wire installation order of 4, 1, 2, 3
