1997 Other Saturn Models Idles fine, Spudders when hit the g

My Saturn is an SC2 model with the duel overhead cam. The problem is that the car will idle fine but when I start giving it the gas it starts to spudder. When you drive it has alot of hesitation and spudders down the road, even at 70mph. It is getting horrible fuel economy. I recently have replaced both oxygen sensors and the fuel filter. Still the problem persists. I would love some advice on what to do next. Thank you in advance. JR
