My saturn leaks antifreeze, not a lot, but enough that every week or so my "low coolant light" comes on. What causes this. My 2nd question, instead of antifreeze can I put water in the coolant chamber?

First you need to find out where the coolant is leaking from and repair it. You said "leaking" so I assume there is coolant on the ground. As to adding water..... I wouldn't suggest it. In the short term it's not that big of a deal BUT over time moving parts in the cooling system will wear out because the coolant is also a lubricant, so it may cost you more down the road. If you're in a cold area the water can freeze and rupture the radiator, heater core, etc....
