Hi,
I wanted to visually check my rear brake shoes to see if I need to replace the shoes but I cant remove the rear drums.I removed the phillips screw and sprayed with WD40 and gently tapped the drums but no luck.Is there a tool used for this purpose.Any help would be greatly appreciated.I have also attached a picture.

Your pic didnt go through. If there are 2 threaded holes in the face of the drum use the proper bolts and thread them in, it will force the drum off the hub. If no holes, you may need to get a little rougher with the hammer and hit the face of the drum to shock it off, be careful not to hit the wheel studs though

this video will help

Just to add to this one you have to remove the screw that holds the drum to the hub then tap on the outer edge of the drum on each side of it.Also you may need to spray some penatrant around the center of the hub. Also those cars a lot of the time the shoes wear a deep lip on the drum keeping it from coming off.
