I own a 96' Saturn SL2. I change my oil every 3 months and it has had previous engine problems (but it was identified as a valve issue and cleaned). For the past 6 months the coolant/temp. and water level lights flash, now those they flash 5 mins. after I start my car. Do you know what the problem is? Oh and I checked the coolant and it measured above the half way point.

Its very simple. I have this problem often. The manner in which this light is flashing simply tells you that the coolant level is low. It is so sensitive that when I get an oil change and my fluid levels checked it is often missed because the coolant is barely below the full line. So, add coolant to the full when cool line, and this will solve the problem.
