On my wifes saturn the timing chain broke about 60 miles from home one night and saturn recalled many of their vehicles for this problem but not ours. so to be nice they offered to provide the parts at cost to me. now I am about to reassemble the engine and in a moment of haste grabbed the wrong cleaning tool to get a little debris off the block surface leaving behind some fine scratches. is there any way I can fix this myself or do i ignore it or do I need to have it machined and how can I keep the cost down since I am not working much right now?
