When I start my car I have power steering, but shortly after that the power steering light comes on at the power steering goes off.

u will need to have ur power steering control module scanned for codes u probably have a code c0475 the most common cause i have seen for ur problem is the steering motor which the sell seperate from the steering column now.let me know what u find.
