2006 Saturn Ion Leak/Crack at cylinder # 1

This what a saturn dealer saids. Cost of repairs is $3000.00 for cylinder head, gasket and spark plugs to make the engine runs smooth and not stall.
Is this a right price
Does it make sense to replace the whole engine with a rebuil one
what happens if i do nothing
