2005 Saturn Ion dead battery

How do you measure current flow from the battery if you suspect that you have a current draw after everything is off. I removed the ground cable from the battery and then touched it to the post and got a little spark, and how much current draw is aloud. The battery goes dead after all night on occasion.

Thank you for the fast reply, it helped. We need a new battery. the amp draw was only 6.75 mili-amp after the system went to sleep. You guys are awesome!! Its close to 6 years old.
