Safe mode/Limp mode

Hello,

Typically with the safe mode (limp mode), you will have the check engine light come on. Which many times can indicate why the vehicle is in safe mode.
Is your engine light illuminated?

Unless you can determine why the safe mode is activated it will be difficult to get the vehicle off of the safe mode.

One of the leading cause for limp mode is a dirty throttle actuator. Which many times will trigger the check engine light.

Have cleared codes, cleaned electronic throttle body and replaced, input, output speed sensors, cleaned EGR ,hoses, PCV valve, spark plugs. found oil in my third plug. O ring and gasket is next, but had no code on that!! RPMs still high. showing a code about gas pedal sensor. Going to also get that.. recap: car goes in safe mode doesn't engage D or 1st reverse at times.

Are you getting any transmission codes? Like a module of solenoid code?
