My SAAB needs a new transmission. My repairman who only works on SAABs can put in a rebuilt transmission from the manufacturer for $3500. While doing this he will also check for other possible valve replacements etc and repair them. The price includes any additional upgrades needed in order to ensure that the car can run for another 4-5 years.It now has 150,000 miles on it. The car is is very good shape.
Should I go for the expenditure or donate the car and get a new/used one? Comments much appreciated.
