I need to remove the heater duct under the knee bolster to reach the nuts that attach the booster to the body. However, the heater duct is attched to the ceter of the bolster and there is no room to see where it is attached. There are to small bolts on the right and left side of the duct that have been removed but the center is still attached to bolster.
I just wonder if I could get away with removing the bolster since removing the duct will give me enough room to take the booster nuts out.
Thank you.

POWER BRAKE UNIT
Removal
Remove steering column bearing cover, ashtray and lower dash panel screw (behind ashtray). Working in engine compartment, remove lower dash panel outer bolts. One bolt is located near the vacuum tank (on firewall), and other bolt is on firewall rearward of fuse block.
Remove center console (if equipped). Disconnect electrical leads, hydraulic and vacuum lines from master cylinder and power brake unit. Plug hydraulic lines to prevent fluid loss. Remove cotter pin from brake pedal push rod.
Remove 4 power brake unit mounting nuts from inside vehicle. Lift out master cylinder and power brake unit as an assembly. Detach master cylinder as necessary.
NOTE:Power brake unit is non-serviceable. Replace as a unit. The dome nut on output push rod is set by the factory. Do not adjust.

Installation
To install, reverse removal procedure and bleed hydraulic system.
