My husband recently noticed ( thankfully) that my car had a major coolant leak, as the driveway was saturated beneath car. The coolant was completely dry, so he started to look for a hose malfunction. I had driven the car 1-2 hours prior, and the car had drove as normal. I didnt receive any warning lights/cautions. What else should he be looking for? Has this been a re-occurring problem for this car? Awaiting the first available chance for my husband to have actual time to look at it!
Shouldnt the car have over heated? Shouldnt I have noticed a warning light, or smell? wouldnt the car had driven abnormally? Thanks!

In theory, you should have had a low coolant warning at a minimum. It may not have reached an overheat. If it is a large leak, possible that the heater control valve is the culprit, it is about the center of the firewall. It could be many possibilities though, a pressure test would be more useful in locating the leak, unless it is obvious.
