1999 Saab 9-5 Check Engine Light - OBII Codes

Hello .. thanks for the donation Check the wiring is good at cylinder 3 both codes are for cylinder 3 misfire .. check wires to plug and injector also check the plug condition !! also do the first step in these test's DTC P1110: CHARGE AIR BYPASS (CAB) VALVE PERFORMANCE MALFUNCTION (4-CYLINDER) Disconnect vacuum hose from CAB valve and connect pressure/vacuum pump to disconnected hose. See Fig. 20. Disconnect vacuum hose from periscope-shaped vacuum port by throttle body. Apply pressure with pump to ensure that air blows out of disconnected hose. Plug end of hose and test again to check for pressure leaks. Repair any leaks found in vacuum hoses. If a leak is present, but vacuum hoses are okay, replace CAB solenoid. See CHARGE AIR BYPASS (CAB) VALVE (4-CYLINDER) under ENGINE SENSORS & SWITCHES in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article. Go to step 3. If no leaks are present, go to next step. Connect TECH 2 scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Use scan tool to activate CHARGE AIR BYPASS SOLENOID. Disconnect CAB solenoid vacuum hose at throttle body. Apply pressure with pressure/vacuum pump to ensure that air blows out of disconnected hose. Plug end of hose and test again to check for pressure leaks. Repair any leaks found in vacuum hose. If a leak is present, but vacuum hose is okay, or if air does not blow out of disconnected vacuum hose, replace CAB solenoid. Go to step 3. If no problems were found, replace CAB valve. Go to next step. Connect TECH 2 scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on and check status of DTC P1110. Test drive vehicle and accelerate with gas pedal completely depressed. Release gas pedal rapidly before engine speed reaches 3500 RPM. Repeat 2 more times. Check scan tool reading. If OK is displayed, use scan tool to clear DTCs from all systems. If NOT READY is displayed, back up to INITIATING DIAGNOSTICS and retest. If DTC P1110 is displayed, substitute known good ECM and retest system. I just took off spark plugs and took out for number 3 but left it connected to wire to see spark ... Started car and BAM... Water came shooting out and also checked the oil before.. And water was mixed in.. I am afraid she is dead!

Very sorry to hear this information .. you could try a compression test of cylinder 3 (all cylinders ) to double check headgasket failure !

just get your head gasket replaced & u r good to go these saab dont damage head & block surfaces so easily ,good luck ,your over heating problem all along was due to that bad gasket ,causing high pressure in cooling system & blowing hoses .
