2001 Saab 9-3 repair Question Estimated Repair Costs

I noticed oil on the garage floor. Took the car in to be checked and they are indicating that the leak is from the engine and that I need an engine overhaul - new head gasket and the like.

Can you give me an estimate of the cost?

ok ,check this saab online site for prices on your parts need ,[ the saabsite.com] input your correct vehicle year & type then u will need a cyl head gasket & 10 head bolts ,plus turbo flange gasket ,valve cover gasket & coolant u can buy anywhere ,after that cost for R&R head can be around $300-600 dollars pending ,time for job will take around 2 hours with a cold engine .but note book labour is about 6-8 hours dont quote me on that ,good luck also u may want to replace your oil pressure switch while u r there ,oil leak from the head is common if the vehicle never had a gasket replacement before .
