Reverse light switch replacement

I need to change reverse light switch on my 5 speed manual transmission. does transmission fluid come out the switch port when changing, or is it above the fluid level? It is the 4L60e transmission.
Truck is the ZR2 model.

Yes. More than likely there will be some fluid that comes out but it will not be much. I would not worry about that at all.
