I have the vehicle listed above 4x4 that will crank up and idle barely, and when you try to give it has it shuts off. I've changed the Mass flow sensor. It gives a p15p15 code. I checked the wires to make sure the ground was good. I checked a yellow wire specifically that gets broken and it's fine. I'm thinking it's the PCM that's bad but not sure. So I'm wondering if it just needs to be updated is this something I can do if I buy a better Diagnostic device? So if mine is bad they have these on eBay for sale for $89.00 dollars and you send them your VIN and they will program it and send it to you. Maybe it's the crankshaft position sensor or the camshaft sensor? Well anyway I sure hope you can help me. Oh yeah my friend is the one who had the Diagnostic device and there were all kinds of ABS codes given, but he said that didn't have anything to do with the vehicle not running.

A P15P15 is not a valid code. It would be a P with 4 numbers behind it like P2015. Please check the codes again and update and we can get you going.

Okay, so the code was p1515. I misunderstood my neighbor. I will be getting a Diagnostic tester in a couple of days and that will help me so I can do it myself.

So the check engine light never came on and he cleared the p1515 code from the vehicle. I don’t have a Diagnostic tester so I can’t tell if it come back. I unhooked the negative battery cable as well in hopes it would reset the PCM. Of course I don’t know if that’s the issue, but it was worth a shot. Of course it didn’t work and I don’t know what else to do. So if you put both my emails together you can see what all I’ve done which isn’t much. Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

P1515 causes:

Bad connection at the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module
Bad TAC module
Bad Throttle Pedal Position (TPP) or Throttle Position (TPS) sensors
Binding or bent throttle plate-failed throttle body

You will find the test procedures and locations below.

There is no test listed for the TPS so if all checks well with the others just replace the TPS.
