running lights stopped working

Have you checked the bulb?

You will have to remove the tail light which should be easily done by removing 2 bolts on the interior of the tailgate opening. You then gently pull the light and it will release from the body.

Compare to the other side to identify which bulb is out and remove the bulb that is not working to inspect.

You should be able to see the filament in the bulb melted or some burning marks on the glass of the bulb.

Replace the bulb and see what you get.

Have you done the basics such as check the bulbs and check if there is power to the light socket? Is it only the parking lights or don't any of the lights work on that side? For example, the brake lights, signals, back up lights and so on?

i have all the lights the only one that isn't working is the left rear drivers side running lights.

Please check the bulb and let us know what you have, if unsure either swap in the working bulb from the other side or just replace the bulb. Bulbs are a very cheap replacement part.

it is in the wiring between the ignition and the junction box in the back underneath the truck.

Okay, first check the fuses I circled. Note there is one for the left and one for the right parking lamps. See pic 1. If they are both good confirm power out from the fuse box. If there is power out, check for power at the rear light junction box in the left side frame rail. See pic 2. Let me know what is found. The highlighted brown wire in pic 2 should have power when you have the lights on.
