When trying to accelerate it sputters and cuts off

Idles smooth but when giving it has it sputters and will not take the gas without cutting out.

This sounds like a fuel pump issue but to be sure lets use this guide to confirm the failure.

58 to 62 pounds the pressure needs to be.
