Engine Mechanical problem

i dont know much about cars at all. i bought a rover mg a few weeks ago, it was working fine and going all okay. it was left for 6 weeks due to the snow and bad weather. it would not start at al and everything was dead. i bought a new battery as i did not know how long the previous one was in for so i got my boyfriend to replace it for me, he knows how to do it. now the battery is in it is still not starting. when i turn the key to 2nd position all lights etc come on, but when i go to start it up its making a loud noise like it is trying to start. there is something under the car bonnet which says "INJECTION" and even when i take the key out a loud tapping noise or dripping noise is coming from it and it can be felt vibrating when i touch it along with the noise.the noise goes away after 10-15mins.im sorry if this does not make any sense
