can enyone help me ?
i bought my rover 25 in november last year . it started to use water , seemed to be burning up through the exaust , i havent got any external water leaks. i took it to a garage they said it was the head gasket had gone.[there was no oil in the water and no water in the oil] i had to fill the water bottle up 4/5 times in 1000 miles of driving.
ive had the head gasket done now BUT.....
now ive had to top the water bottle up 6 times in 130 miles. the garage said that it might be 1 of the wet liners that has gone .
is this possible ???? or are they just trying it on,
and yes there is now water in the oil .they have told me that it would need a full engine overhaul.
the engine has done 60030 miles
