Rough idling

Good Day. My car started having a rough idling. At first I thought it was the coils and the spark plugs but I eventually tested and checked them, none whatsoever. I cleaned the throttle body, checked vacuum leaks and nothing seems to solve the issue.

At high speed it drives well but when the rough idling kicks in, it goes into Limp Mode until it stops. Then I have to switch it off and start it again - the cycle continues for every three minutes or so.

I took out the fuel pump, checked connections and dirt, all is good. Please help.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

If the engine is going into limp mode, you really should have the computer scanned to determine what code is set. That will indicate where the problem is coming from.

Since the issue goes away when you turn the key off, I suspect it is a sensor issue.

Have it scanned and let me know what you find.

Quick update:

Found that the cable to the camshaft position sensor (connector) was corroded, fixed.

primed enough fuel and removed bubbles and car started. The result is that its idling rough, more like misfiring. I have cleared all the errors, but the camshaft fault seems to be coming back.

Another worrying factor is that when analyzing live data from obdeleven, on the 'Injector Status' channel, it seems as if the only responsive injector/cylinder when revving the car is Cylinder 2. The other three don't present any values at all. Please also note that the 'three' PD injectors installed have not been coded/adapted, not sure if this is the issue. But here's an attachment of the screenshot of the channel.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What's really funny is that I'm not getting any injector fault codes after scanning several times. The only fault code that comes up even after clearing is the camshaft fault, which I will list below. This past weekend i have reconnected a wire that was corroded on the 3-pin connector. But generally, the only fault code I'm getting is the following:
01 Engine

System description: R4 2,0L EDC G000SG
Software number: 03G906016G
Software version: 9884
Hardware number: 0281011364

Coding: 0000072

Trouble codes:
P3007 - Camshaft Position Sensor No signal
