Reverse lights stay on while driving

It sounds like you have a problem with the transmission selector switch which would affect the rear camera as well.

Here is a diagram for the location of the switch which is inside the pan near the valve body.


Please let us know what happens.

Back up lights remain on while driving. Back up camera stopped working a few weeks back. however, I do not know if both problems occurred at the same time. Just became aware of light problem yesterday.

Wrote to you regarding reverse lights staying on when driving. Now they have stopped working completing. Went to the fuses in engine compartment and found at least two fuses burnt out. Fuse labeled #27( I believe module 4) and fuse # 61. Replaced with new fuses and they burned out as soon as I started the car and placed it in gear. My wife who was watching the reverse lights said she also noticed some smoke coming out of the trunk which also has a fuse box. Certainly sounds like a short.

yes it Is youll have to have a mechanic check to see where it is as a module may have burnt up frm the smoke.
