Engine does not rev past 3,000 RPMs

Hi,

This could be the result of a few different things. The first thing I suggest is to check for diagnostic trouble codes. If you haven't done that yet, follow the directions below to see if codes are present. This vehicle has an OBD1 system, so you don't need a scanner to get codes.

Let me know what you find. Also, let me know exactly what happens when the engine reaches 3000 RPMs.
