Yep, we don't have info on a Maserati, if you upload images I can try to help, you probably need to remove the door panel.

Looking at the service manual it appears to pop out of the top of the armrest like a Chrysler and the switch itself looks just like one from a Town & Country van and the Ram trucks with the folding mirror option. Probably is considering they were owned by FCA at the time these were built and they used those same switches in a lot of their line. Disconnect the battery first, it likely isn't needed but not worth risking it as it uses a door module for control.

You are welcome. I will say their service info is a "real treat" to use. I always thought Audi and VW were a mess, Maserati has them beaten on pretty much every level. That is the first time I saw service info that has the company logo and description on every chapter.

waited till optimum temp and fan came on. Low pressure showed 110 and compressor was still on. If there was actually that much I doubt the compressor would come on. Tried to leave some of it knowing am gone have a to of air come out, so I inserted a screw driver in the low port and got it all out which was all air. tried to add freon to about 50 psi or so still had some air in it. I let the air out till compressor stop then added a tiny bit of freon and it goes to 50-60 quickly. Strange. No cool air at all. High side when connected was around the 100-110 or so

Did you get the link I sent you with the service manual as a large pdf download? if not give me a working email and I'll send it there.

Looking at what I can find it is a single speed fan controlled through the ECM and a single relay. It looks like it uses the pressure in the AC system as well as the core temperature to control the fan if the AC is on. Probably requires that the AC be fully charged and working before the fan will be controlled through the system though.

But the fan was on and compressor running and zero cold, even at full charge of 40 or 70 or 120 psi. It was at 120 before the fan came on

It was in a private message, look up top and see if you see messages, click that and see if it's in there. There isn't a lot on the system in terms of how it operates though. However it may take more than just the pressure to trigger it, some require the EVAP temp sensor as well as pressure and even gear selection depending on how they are programmed. One Chrysler I have here will not turn on the fan if the vehicle is moving more than 30 mph as it has enough airflow over the core.
