Replacing thermostat?

Hi,

Replacing the thermostat is actually not bad to do. You will need to drain the radiator to a level the height of the thermostat. There is a drain at the bottom of the radiator.

As far as the thermostat goes, you will need to remove the radiator hose that is attached to the thermostat housing. I'm not sure what you have on your vehicle, but if they are original, you will need a good set of pliers or if it has been replaced, a straight-edge screwdriver.

To remove the housing, there are only two bolts holding it in place. I can't be certain, but the bolts will be about a 1/2" inch bolt.

The only other thing you need is something to clean the old gasket material from the housing and where it mounts to the engine.
