cup holder retainer clip?

How do I remove and replace the clip that retains the center console rear cup holder closed.. The clip appears to be in a tapered slot, but without applying what may be damaging force the old clip can not be removed

If you can get a small screwdriver behind it bend it backwards then pull the clip out. You have to use the same clip to put back in though and it should slide in.

Here are all of the center console images (below) that I could find.

The 2-prong plastic latch in the center console that holds the rear drink holder up is broken. the GM PN is 88934982. How do I get the old one out? Do I have to disassemble the console or is there a simple way I can't see to pop it out?

It's not too bad the get he end cap off two screws on top and four in the rear here are diagrams to help you see how to fix it. Check out the diagrams (Below) Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
