Trying to replace my headlight and because the light moves with the wheel and auto levels, the actual bulb has a metal bracket around it and I cannot get it off. I have tried just about everything, except breaking it and I do not want to do that.

Hello, I am Danny.

I found this about removing the ballast/bulb on your Kia. I have attached two pictures. Are these stock bulbs or aftermarket?Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

The bulbs are stock, (HID D1S xenon bulbs) that is all I know. I have not read anything about having to remove the ballast or where it even is. I will attach a few pictures of what I am talking about. If I do end up having to remove the whole head lamp assembly, which I do not wish to have to do, does that include removing part of the bumper along with it? Do you have any pictures of the steps for removing the assembly also?

Hello again.

I will instruct you how to do this, However do not touch the new headlight bulb with your finger as oil from it will pop the bulb.I will tell you instructions when you are available/ready. Thanks for using 2CarCarPros.

Hello again.

It looks like with your pictures you have enough access to remove the Ballast. The bulb is underneath. On your picture I have circled the tabs you need to pop loose with a small screwdriver. Just be sure to not touch the actual bulb glass with fingers are it will ruin. That clip is what holds everything in place. Should take about fifteen minutes. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
