I purchased the replacement socket and noticed that the replacement socket had silver wiring and the original wiring on the car had copper wiring.
My question is, can i still splice and connect the two?

You can and it will work. My only concern is corrosion. When you put two different metals together like this, it may corrode and lose connection. Other than that, they are both conductors.

Let me know if you need help with anything.

Okay, then I'll have to purchase the connectors that have glue within n heat to melt.
Will that keep the corrosion out, if not permanently but at least for awhile...

Hi,

Yes, you should be fine. If you can, I would solder the wires and cover them with heat shrink. Just make sure when you finish, there are no bare wires. You don't want them to short.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
