replacing cylinder head do I need to reset the timing?

hey, I've recently just purchased a new head kit for my 4m40t, i just wanted to know with replacing the head will i have to redo the timing? i haven’t moved the timing chain off the camshaft sprocket.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with this vehicle, but if it has an overhead cam, yes, timing needs to be done.

This model isn't offered in the US, so I have no technical information. If you take a few pics of the engine, I should be able to confirm that for you.

I do have information on their 3.8L engine. Is this a V6?
