Clutch pedal stuck to the floor. Existing Clutch Wheel and Pressure Plate (Valeo brand) have roughly 30,000 miles (as new) of mostly highway driving (should be fine, most likely). I will change both the clutch Master and Slave Cylinders. Questions:
1. Is it likely that I need to change something more in addition to just the two cylinders?
2. Approximately how many hours of labor in total for an experienced mechanic, to change both cylinders?
3. Is the Slave Cylinder located inside or outside the gearbox housing?
Thanks in advance for your kind response.

In most cases, if there are no leaks at the transmission (slave), the problem is the master cylinder. However, that is always a tough one to call.

As far as the slave cylinder is concerned, yes, the transmission needs to be removed to access it.

If you look below, the first five pics are directions for replacing the clutch master cylinder. The remaining pictures are for the slave cylinder. Note that the last pics are directions for removing the transmission.

The very last two pics below are the parts and labor. The labor for the slave includes removing the transmission. The labor for the master cylinder is only one hour.

Take a look through things and let me know if you have questions.

Take care and let me know how things turn out for you.
