replacing cylinder head temperature sensor?

ive ran test and got code p1299 and I am trying to locate the sensor and anything about removing the manifold. just where is the sensor for sure.

Yep, Ford helped us out on this one, it is under the intake manifold so it will need to be removed to change the sensor. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
