After hitting a curb, is it possible to change out the control arm, get an alignment and new tire?

You will need to remove the lower ball joint in order to do the axle and have an alignment performed. So honestly, I would do everything at once rather than having to take it apart twice, and possibly damaging the ball joint in the new control arm.

In case you need it, I am adding the replacement procedures for both the lower control arm and axle.

There are 2 spots they want you to use a pressing tool. If you us a 20-ounce hammer or so and give the ball joint and tie rod end a good pop on the knuckle with nut still slightly threaded on it should break them both free without have to mess around with a puller.

Also, some aftermarket axles are junk and will cause a vibration and the bushings in aftermarket control arms don't last. I recommend using OEM or ride comfort and quality could suffer.
