I'm replacing the Crankshaft sensor that's located in between a pulley and the block. my puller tool won't fit because of the wheel well. Could I lightly tap a metal wedge in between block and pulley to get it to open up enough to swap old for new and then tap it back into place when done???

Hello, I'm Danny.

Here is the information you requested. Our repair guides show its the best way to replace the sensor by removing the harmonic balancer-pulley assembly altogether. I wouldn't recommend prying the pulley with a metal bar you mentioned so it won't get damaged. Here is a tutorial showing how to replace a crankshaft sensor:

I've attached picture steps below showing how to replace the crankshaft position sensor on your Chevy Venture. After replacement you will have to perform a relearn process which I've attached below as well. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
