I have a no crank/no start condition. Replaced engine due to bad bearings. Engine came out of Malibu with only thirty five miles (GM crash test vehicle). I have power to the starter, no power to starter solenoid, no power to starter fuse when ignition turned to start position. When ignition in on position all dash instruments activate, radio on, etc. I do not have schematic for fuse box. have not tested ignition switch. All worked before engine replacement.

Hello,

It sounds like you may have left a main power lead off of the starter, Here is some wiring diagrams and fuse locations so you can do some testing.

Thanks for the schematics. I will study them tonight. On starter relay, terminal 30 is hot, 86 is not. Terminal 85 activates starter. If I jump power from 30 to 85 engine cranks but will not start. I have access to main harness connector and will check wiring from switch. I am almost certain that I am not getting power when ignition is turned to the start position. I will keep you posted and thanks again for the diagrams. Curt
