Replace Radiator

Hi Carpros team,

I changed my radiator and thermostat yesterday. But I forgot to turn the heat on full. After I drove for half an hour ( no air conditioning turn on), I felt the hot air blowing on my feet. When I touched my shoes, it was hot and the metal of the key in ignition is also hot. Should i turn the heat on now to solve the problem? How do I do properly to turn the heat on?

Note: before my car had the code of the engine light is P0440. Now in addition to that code, my car has another the code P0420.

Check the coolant level in ratiator. Without turning heater on, air could be trapped in system and you need to bleed the system. With cold engine, remove radiator cap to check. Ensure recovery tank has correct level of coolant. Top up coolant in radiator if necessary. Run engine for 5 minutes with radiator cap off and top up coolant as necessary.
After 5 minutes, turn engine off. Wait for a few minutes before topping up coolant and close radiator cap. Run engine to operating temperature and wait for it to cool down before rechecing level. Repeat process if necessary, ie if air is still present in radiator.

P0440 is a fault with the EVAP system
P0420 is a fault with the catalytic converter or related components.

Clear the code and after bleeding system, run the vehicle and test if codes comes back.
