Engine Mechanical problem
2004 Renault Scenic V8 Manual 90000 miles
For the last few months when putting car into first gear i have to put in second gear first then into first. Recently this become more diffficult and car struggles in first gear. I checked the gear selector mechanism and changed it - There was part of the selector with a plastic tag holding it. Just prior to this change the car would not move forward or reverse. The gear selector has been changed but the car still won't move. When the car was struggling to move forward in 1st there was a smell of burning
Is the problem with the clutch or is it the gear linkage cables.
Changing the clutch - is there anything i should be aware or wary of with this model The car is a 6 gear 7 seater Grand Scenic thanks
