i prev reported a prob on this forum, i now have had the breakdown people AA out to look at the car. after checking everything that could humanly be checked (splugs, coils, tdc sensor, fuel to rail, even the fuel pump & connections etc), the guy sprayed easy start into the air intake, the car started but the cut out. the plugs were dry when he removed them and explained they shouldbe wet with fuel... he aint sure why the car aint startin but says that everything that should work is working... his diagnosis was that the fuel pressure me be too low (even though he checked it) or that there is a problem at the rail...

any help would be good at this point... it has to be something simple

sounds like the immoboliser system is cutting fuel injector function ..

in real terms, if it is the immobiliser that is causing the injectors to shut off, what are we talking - scrap the motor or can it be fixed???

Have the vehicle plugged into a renault diagnostic computer (there are some independant tech's if you shop around) .. the immoboliser needs to be reset .. this can only be done using a diagnostic (renault software) computer .. you can get a temporary bypass code from a renault dealer using your cars VIN .. It is a simple repair which will cost around £150 at Renault .. Hope this helps

so am i right in beleivin that my renault can be fixed, and that i will need to put into renault to get it done properly? on that basis how will they be able to reset the immobilizer and the AA could not pick up on any fault at all...

Yes it can be repaired .. it's not technically a FAULT .. the immo has tripped(it thinks it is being stolen) .. take it to renault .. have them repair it !!
