Renault Scenic Alize DTi - very loud metallic rattling sound coming from engine only when idling, once acceleration given then noise disappears and engine really quiet. Own mechanic has said its terminal without actually knowing what the problem is (could not identify but said it didn't sound good). Not sure whether to get another opinion (can;t afford another car!) or scrap it. Car otherwise very good condition. Help!
