Electrical problem
1998 Renault Scenic Manual 10500 miles

hi there, my scenic has a light on inside. it is the one that looks almost like heartmonitor, with 3 peaked lines in the sqaure.
the revs sound quite high, and in 1st and 2nd gear i hear a faint popping sound from the engine.
the car came with no manual, thus i have no idea what the light means, and thus what could be wrong.
