When I start my Renault 19 the warning light comes on and it will not shift from 3rd gear. Sometimes when the temp gauge is at half way I can stop the car and restart it, and it goes back to normal but this is becoming less and less. My mechanic has no idea what is wrong but I believe this is a common problem? Any ideas?
