02 plate renault megane 1.4 16v,hard to find the right gear,gear stick seems very loose,when driving and i accelarate,the gear stick moves,any idea;s

the linkages have a habit of getting worn at the connectors on this model .. check to see of there is any play on the linkages above the gearbox under the bonnet !!!
